Your instructor will help you create the design of your choosing… You will have two options for your soap dish surface: it can either be textured or smooth.

In this 4-hour class, you will learn make your own beautiful glass beads by melting and designing beautifully colored glass with a torch. Dots, swirls, lines and frit will be available for use. Detailed safety instructions will be explained and demonstrated at the beginning and throughout the class.
All materials are included. Walk away from the class with your beads strung onto a wire that can be used as a keychain, fan pull, light pull, zipper pull. You can also string them in order to make a simple necklace or bracelet. No experience necessary. This is a great introduction to glass beadmaking and flameworking and will allow you to come back and rent torch time so you can continue making beads. Expect to make 6-10 beads during the class.

Wear natural fibers (no fleece or spandex) clothing, hair tie for long hair and closed-toed shoes. If you wear glasses and have the option to wear contacts, please do so. Contacts will be more comfortable. Bring bottled water for you to drink.

Ages 15+ Parent/Gaurdian must be present when student (ages 15-17) arrives to sign waiver before class.

Use a variety of brightly colored layers of flat glass to create a festive one-of-a-kind fused glass dish. We will assemble stacks of assorted fusible glass and let heat, surface tension and gravity do their work. These stacked dishes are beautiful illustrations of fusing and the movement of molten glass when heated to high temperatures. No two pieces are ever the same.

You will learn the basics of safely cutting and assembling flat glass. Pre-cut pieces will also be available to make your 5" x 5" fused glass dish. A white or clear base is included with the fee but different base colors can be purchased from the instructor. Great for a date night or a girls/guys night out! Wear comfortable close-toed shoes. Join us at Chicago Glass Collective for a new Holiday class! In this fun and family-friendly 2-hour class, you will create two 3" x 3" fused glass ornaments. Using a variety of colorful flat glass, holiday-themed ornaments will be safely designed and assembled. Cut special kiln paper to create beautiful snowflakes that will be encased in glass and fused in a kiln. Also, use small pieces of colorful flat glass to make snowmen, menorahs, Christmas trees, penguins, reindeer, dreidels, and more! Pick up your fired glass pieces in one week. Additional ornaments can be made for $15 each. Wear close-toed shoes.

Create beautiful glass snowflake ornaments that will add sparkle to any holiday festivities. Use glass frit, in a variety of colors, to fill ceramic molds that will then be put in the kiln and fired. Everyone get to make 2 large snowflakes. Extra snowflakes (if molds are availalbe) may be created for an extra $15 for large and $10 for small. Please bring cash for extra ornaments.

Ornaments may be picked up in one to one and a half weeks. No experience required.
