Glass Blowing Classes are

coming back on Saturdays

Starting October 17th!

Check out our new Hot Shop!

After our test run this summer, before it got too hot to offer more classes, we are excited to offer “Hot Shop Saturdays” starting October 17th!

We will be listing sessions over the next couple of days and then you'll be able to sign up starting early next week.

Hot Shop Saturdays are a wonderful way to get introduced to our new glassblowing studio.

Available Mid-October-May

Step into our welcoming hot shop and experience glass in its molten state!

CGC offers short, hands-on glassblowing sessions designed for beginners. You’ll work one-on-one with an instructor to shape molten glass into your own paperweight. No experience necessary—just curiosity.

What to Expect

You’ll start with a brief introduction to safety, tools, and the glassblowing process, followed by a short demonstration. Then, one at a time, you’ll be guided through the process of shaping your piece. You can choose from round, organic or egg shaped.

Instructors adapt each step to your comfort level to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Finished pieces are cooled in a kiln and can be picked up in about a week for free, or mailed for a small fee.

Interested participants will be able to sign up for continuing education classes starting in January 2027 to make more advanced projects such as vases and cups. Pricing for advanced classes is $115 person for 30 minutes with 2 participants per hour. For the rest of 2026 we are excited to offer our “Hot Shop Saturdays” sessions.

Schedule & Booking

“Hot Shop Saturday” sessions are booked as individual 20 minute time slots within each hour, with up to two participants scheduled per hour. Groups are welcome to reserve consecutive slots, and larger groups will rotate through the process while others observe.
