Chicago Glass Collective is thrilled to welcome artist Marky Salvati as a visiting artist this summer! Join him for this special 4-week class:
Foundations of Sheet Glass
Students will be introduced to the foundations of sheet glass through both stained glass and glass fusing processes. Whether new to the material or looking to expand an existing practice, this course meets participants at their level while emphasizing contemporary approaches to sheet glass. Projects include fused glass panels (6” x 6”), copper-foil stained glass (6” x 6”), and fused elements for stained glass (8” x 8”). Come as you are—no prior experience required.
Marky Salvati is an emerging glass artist working in stained glass and kiln-based processes. He holds a BA from Loyola University Chicago and is currently pursuing an MFA in Glass at the Rhode Island School of Design. His practice is grounded in fabrication and material exploration, supported by studio, teaching, and technical experience across Chicago and RISD.
