This 4-week class is for students who want to learn the basics of beadmaking and working hot glass in a torch.
Students will learn to operate equipment and tools safely, manipulate molten glass into multiple shapes, and refine their skills by exploring decorative techniques such as dots, stripes, and twisties.
Repeat students are also welcome if you would like to refine your skills before moving onto the more advanced classes
The instructor will assist with design techniques, offer suggestions, and help students complete their design ideas.
Class price includes safety glasses, various colors of Moretti glass for use during class, mandrels, kiln time, and all the tools needed.
A glass kit with additional colors and mandrels is available for $50.00.
Everyone is welcome; there are no prerequisites! After the second class, you have 3 free open studios that need to be used within 3 months of the end of class
This class is a prerequisite for future flameworking classes.
